Rachel Anne McAdams
Rachel Anne McAdams was born on November
17, 1978 in London (Ontario, Canada) to Sandra Kay (Gale), who works as a nurse
along with Lance Frederick McAdams who is a truck driver/furniture mover. She
is of English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish descent. Rachel was involved in acting
at the age of 13 and by the age of 13 she was starring in Shakespearean
performances at the summer theater camps. She then was able to graduate with
honors , earning an honors BFA degree in Theater from York University. After
appearing in the Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson episode (1998) She starred in
Slings and Arrows, a Canadian comedy-drama which follows the struggles and
triumphs of an Shakespearean theatre group. In 2003, she received a Gemini
award. The role she played in Mean Girls (2004) Regina George, in Mean Girls
(2004) immediately earned her the attention of the list of Hollywood's most
sought-after young actresses. In the following film she co-starred with Ryan
Gosling as the romantic drama adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' bestseller The
Notebook (2004). This was a huge success in the box-office and became the most
loved romantic drama for a young audience. McAdams and Gosling began to fall in
love while filming, and continued to stay in touch through the middle of 2007. McAdams
and Gosling were in a relationship and began to have a relationship. The role
she played in the war drama The Lucky Ones (2007) and the newspaper thriller
State of Play (2009), and the romance The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) followed
before she starred alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Guy Ritchie's
international blockbuster Sherlock Holmes (2009). McAdams played the role of
the confident producer in Morning Glory (2010). McAdams also played Owen
Wilson's wife, a materialistic one in Midnight in Paris (2011). McAdams then
returned to romantic drama in The Vow (2012) with Channing Tatum. McAdams is
also a part of Terrence Malick in To the Wonder (2012) and Noomi Rapace plays
Passion (2012) in Brian De Palma's film thriller.
